Shorelands is a relaxed Maine Cottage Resort, the way life used to be! We've grown gradually over the years, and we're constantly adding improvements. Consequently, our spotless cottages and apartments are all different is size and style.

Parson's Beach is only a short walk away

We are 3/10 mile from Parsons Beach (a very private, natural, sand duned beach). The beach is almost 1/2 mile long, with a river entering to the west. Mousam river provides excellent fishing (Mackerel, Stripers, and Blues--depending on the season). The public boat ramp is just 200 yards from us for entering either the river or to get to the ocean.

At Moose River, Maine, you stay for two nights in a Mountain Top Lodge, lodge room or cottage (depending on number in your party). On the morning after your arrival, you will spend the day rafting the thrilling 3, 4, and 5 rapids of the Kennebec River, including famous Magic Falls.

Windfall Outdoor Center will be your river guide and also provide you with a hearty lunch on the river.

After another pleasant night in the mountains, you will head for home, or, if you started your adventure in Moose River, head for the ocean and Idlease & Shorelands Guest Resort in Kennebunkport, Maine.

The above 4 Night High Water, High Seas Adventure Package is available May 1 through June 26 for the Spring Rate of $199.00 per person, based on double occupancy. Beginning June 29 to August 28, it is available Midweek, Sunday through Thursday nights only, at $250.00 per person d.o., for standard accomodations, and $325.00 per person, d.o. for deluxe accommodations. The activities are the same with either accommodations. At Idlease & Shorelands you can substitute a Sailing trip for the Kayak or Canoe trip between June 29 and August 28.

Vacation Home For Rent:

We also have a 4 bedroom house for rent (June-September). The house is located 1 mile from our Guest Resort and 1 mile from Kennebunkport. It is also only 1 mile to Mother's Beach. It is a 4 bedroom, 2 bath house, tri-level. The bottom level with the garage is not available to you. The first level has an entry, dining room, kitchen, and 15 x 29 cathedral ceilinged living room. Sliding doors from dining and living room to large brick terrace with patio furniture, gas grill, and hammock.

The second level over the garage has the bedrooms and baths. Master bedroom has king bed and private bath with large shower, door to 10 x 40 balcony skirting eastern side of house. Two other bedrooms have one double bed each, middle bedroom has two twin beds. One double bedroom has access to balcony as well. Main bath with single jacuzzi bath tub and shower in hallway.

Beach pass to Mother's Beach is available as well as access to Idlease & Shorelands Resort, with laundry, swimming pool, and access to Parsons Beach.

June and September $1250.00/wk for 6 persons.  July and August $1500/wk for 4 persons.  + &100 per person additional.

There is a $500 security deposit due with reservation, refundable after check out. On cancellations, refund if time period re-rented.
